summer sorceries

bright fairy stories to bring you out of the darkness

starlight upon flowers

starlight upon flowers
shimmering shades of blue
is there nothing more beautiful
or fairer than you
all else becomes void
as i gaze upon your dance
for fairylights are known
for the most hypnotizing trance

i breathe the faint air
as i hold out my hand
reaching for you to take me
to another land
my body turns to stardust
as i lose myself in your glows
a world where bliss is eternal
and all movement is slowed

never leave me my dear
my world is so dark
this realm is that last journey
i wish to embark
for you are the shimmer of silver so bright
enlightening the world
in the coldest night

moonlight children solemn and fair
protect and watch over me
forever under your care
a fairytale spirit
so enchanting so true
you are my one love
i'll never forget you

a starstorm swirls

violet was the cloak of the wandering wizard
who conjured comets
cyclones and blizzards
and upon her robes
a starstorm swirled
gold and silver silks
from other worlds

and she sang songs to children far and wide
and told them tales
that widened their eyes
she spoke of the clarity
of the mages mind
how the enchantress could leave one
with perfect vision
blind
she sung of the fires
of the sorcerer's soul

and how the warlocks servants
were a thousand years old
she whispered the secrets
of the bards flowery tongue
and how the gods formed the world
before life begun,

but of all of her tales
she had but a single favourite one -
of all the marvelous things that could be achieved
if only in wondrous tales
a little child believed

fairy daughters

when daylight dissolves to darkness
when despair consumes the night
come dream with me
my fairy daughters
i will bring you back to the light

verdant forest

she danced in a verdant forest
a land of eternal spring
she slept enchanted meadows
encircled by mushroom rings

she gazed at herself for hours
in a lake that was crystal clear
maidens wove her crowns out of flowers
she knew no worries or fear

she placed her feet upon the earth
and seeds would bloom to life
her green heart had called them
to be birthed
the magic of a woodland sprite

enchantress daughters

magic resides in forests and waters
where sleep the terrible
enchantress daughters
awakening only to sing and dance
charming wanderers into trance

onto cobweb cushions
they were hypnotized
as sorcerers spells
were their lullabies
and there in that glade
indulging in desires
under starlight, under moonlight
and the the red flame fires

at twilight they'd conjure
tempting treats
sugared violets
and cherry sweets
there they keep their mortals
trapped for weeks
for the thought of leaving
makes them weep

king of the nymphalidae

they lingered in a grove
bejewelled with flowers
and from morning star til twilight
they partied for hours
but this was no ordinary gathering
that was forming
a birthday feast for the butterfly king
and all those who adore him

and so it begun
in the gardens so green
as I witnessed the splendors
that goes unseen
for there are many butterflies
in the green gardens
different colours and shapes
with antenna like martians

the harlequins dance wildly
with iridescent wings
as the starry night drifters
begin to sway and sing
The daggerwings keep guard
and watch over the celebration
as the swallowtails sip fairy wine
with an elegant sophistication

the glasswings hypnotic
draped in gossamer gowns so sheer
that the red admirals needed liquid courage
just to be near
fairy wine had put the duskwings
in a slumber so deep
that only the light of the butterfly king
awoke them from their sleep

as he entered the grand celebration
he sang and he shout
let us dance! Let us drink!
‘til the starlights go out!
he fluttered through lands
with wings chiming like bells
the sparkling sound enchant
like sweet little spells

his amber-jewelled wings
beared the regal marks
of the royal family
the majestic monarchs
the prince of fairy dust
the Nymphalidae
and he shone and glimmered
like liquid sun rays

and there was nothing in the garden
that was so beautiful and so bright
than the light that trailed him
through the days
and the nights

summer night sapphire splendour

summer night
sapphire splendor
silver stars shining tender

ignited by enchantresses
i bathe in your light
limitless infinite
in the darkness of night

i gaze in your eyes
and i see your dreams
arcane visions are conjured
a magic serene

faerie fire

i dreamed of a faerie fire
in the field it shined so bright
as a rainbow beaming into the alluring
mysterious blue midnight

and around that vibrant flame
there it was they danced
and from that moment ever on
I was cursed to be entranced

summerbright

a fairytale the minstrels sing
of a daughter of summer
and a prince of spring
among rose red forests
where the fair folk dwell
where every whisper on the wind
is an enchantresses spell
there in the woods
they'd meet in morning light
that magical moment
between spring
and summerbright

eversong

i wander the lands of eversong
where magicka thrives radiant and strong
golden realm, twisted trees
ivory branches, amber leaves
and through them fly the dragonhawks
wandering lands where the mages walk
gold as the light of sunlit wells
scarlet as the fires of a mages spells
but a shadow cast upon that land
where sorcery thrive in elvish hands
sapphire curtains hide secrets grand
spiralling towers overlook
a kingdom damned

azuremyst

over teal green grass stand ivory antlers
of silver stags and dryad dancers
lit by amethyst shining and sharp
as minstrels sing sad songs on harps

as pale as the silver of stone and sands
the distant memories of former home lands
grey moths glide through the lilac mist
as orchid flowers attack and hiss
true their heart sings songs
for the home they miss
all fall in love
with the land of
azuremyst

artaeum

Ohh artaeum! psijic secrets dwell
where singing waters whisper little spells
elven ears hear what others cant listen
to the magics of nature as they glisten
Flowers fair of pinks and white
shimmer under stars morning lights

upon the hills where the butterflies dance
and the turquoise nixads sing in trance
lilac mysticism drifted upon the air
and the rose petal circlet that she adorned upon her hair
glowed like the golden halo upon the silver mist
staring at the morning stars with my love i miss...
the hidden realm where secret lovers once kissed

mystic mirage

you may not see from an elf eyes vision
you may not hear what elf ears listen

where little bugs drinks from the dew drop waters
and their daisy chained daughters
chiming in meadows
a song they sing
enchanted melody summon forth
the fairy king

a grand parade, a mystic mirage
and how wonderful his entourage
fairy wine was ruby red
golden was the honey bread
peony pink where the smiling cheeks
of the fairy children
to busy dancing to fall asleep
diamonds where the eyes
of the beautiful girls
who dusted their skin
with the sparkle of pearls

raising the monarchs cape
wild butterflies
and under his rule
the fairy kingdom thrived
for love and joy were his most
precious prize

monarch

the only man i'd ever trust
with the crown of a king
is a monarch of amber black white wings

faerie king calls

the fairy king calls
and I shall listen
deep in the forest
where the dew drops glisten

i enter this realm
and i am not the same
i hear his song louder
calling my name

and so i arrive
a servant faithful
faerie king my lord
eternal and graceful

angel food cake

daydreamers delight
in marshmallows white
and all fluffy desserts
lighter than light

a luscious souffle
warmer than day
where those vanilla creams
are my cloud sweet dreams
the reflection in the lake
an indulgent milkshake
the divinity of a parfait
takes me a feather flight away

where all my dreams are baked
as sumptuous cream cakes
by heavenly bodies
only an angel could make

dreaming daughters

awaken
dreaming daughters
i rise you from your slumber
may the earth hear your yawn
as the roaring of thunder
too long have you slept
while your sisters have wept
the ritual is now set
for the sunder

lovesongs for unicorns

in a lavender vale
my tale begins
i remember nothing
til i began to sing

lovesongs to unicorns!
my saviours in the woods
they found me there wounded
face hidden under hood

but unicorn magic!
my soul purified
i thought i was lost
i thought i had died
no memory of my past
how long my torture last

but my spirit anewed!
rejuvenated!
what a grand blessing
I had been fated
to them i swore a vow
and this is my life now

singing lovesongs to unicorns
how long has it been
ever have i wondered
if it has been two years
or if it has been two hundred

feather wings

you pushed me off the cliff
you planned for me to die
but I grew magnificent feather wings
and they took me to the skies

peachy meadows

you were as pleasant as a rainbow
a desirable as the dawn
sweeter than the peachy meadows
where sleep the dreaming fauns

springtime sunshine

behold the morning
the rising of the sun
where fairies sing
and the unicorns run
our enchanted world
so bright so fun
no time for rest
for our hearts are young

fairy daughters destiny

never stop dreaming
my fairy daughters
never stop bathing
in those enchanted waters
eat those sweet treats
indulge in those delights

it is the love of your hearts
that brightens the nights
it is the charm of your kiss
fire and wine
it is the joy of your smile
holy divine

may you grow ever onward
as grape and vine
may you sparkle ever forward
as moon and sun shine

sunlight upon flowers

sunlight upon flowers
shimmering shades of gold
there is no more beautiful sight
i could behold

and i see the light
as i gaze upon you in silence
and in my heart i feel a hope
that's more certain than the horizon

i am swept forward by breeze
and I raise my hands
it is now my time to enjoy
the sunlit land

i am ever fufilled
I embrace all in my arms
i will protect you forever
you won't see any more harm

i have never left you my dear
i have watched over you in the dark
this realm is the safest sanctuary
you will ever embark

for within your heart radiates
a vibrant glow so bright
and i see it shining greater
than sun rising after the night

children of the sun
in pain and so lost
the hurts of your heart
i have never forgot

trust in our love
and your heart so true
you are my purpose in life
love yourself
as i would have
loved you

enchanted eroticism

delicious & disastrous desire

wicked sorcery

As smooth and rich as honey
cruel curses rolled off her tongue
the wine was sweet and running
down her chest a garnet hung
a wicked jewel of darkness
held the heart of a burning sun
she lured lovers with her lips
as it was there
her sorcery begun

everlasting limerance

i am ever lusting
after the limerence
of which i am ensorcelled
since the first time I held your pretty face
in my hands

bewitched berries
charmed cherries

bewitched berries
charmed cherries
gilded in a glass
with blackberry honey
warmer than sunlight
in your tummy
a decadent delight
for those starved nights

but
i dont need to drink
the fairy wine
when sweet lips like yours
come close to mine
and you entwine
my body with yours
and that fluttering passion
opens a thousand doors
igniting there
my sparkling dreams
in the fairy forests
where the river streams
and i

and i dont need to drink
the fairy wine

angel song

i am your angel
whispering songs divine
seducing your demons
drunk on wine

moon moth, candle smoke

under moon, moths and candle smoke,
we worship we chant and we invoke
a transmutation of venom into honey
under eclipse, skies both dark and sunny

they called this place the palace of pleasure
and there her priestesses lay in leisure
lavish revelries, a sumptuous feast
they dance to seduce man to monster and beast

their wicked goddess, half woman, half corpse
decay and desire is the path she walks
for those who are blessed with her dark kiss
their blood shall flow in decadent bliss

lovesong

Never had I heard a lovesong sung
Til the fae prince whispered
with a flowery tongue
And from his breath
rose petals flew
and there in the glade
he loved me too

By the rosey meadows
where the satyrs sing
and the nymph girls danced
crowned in daisy rings
I gave you my love
under woodland green
and you were more beautiful
than anyone i'd ever seen

Ohh my love
our secrets ever dwell
where singing streams
whisper little spells
elf ears hear
what others can't listen
to sparkling treasures
as they glisten
The flowers were there
rose red and bright white
and how delightfully they shimmered
under moons pale lights

strawberry sweethearts

strawberry sweethearts
puff velvet sleeves
red checkered picnic rug
under summer trees

raspberry jam
sunshining bright
i wonder if you'll be the one
to cherish me tonight

maenad revelry

maenad revelry

in the meadow i hear
the alluring melody
it is there they dance
maenad revelry
indulging their
hedonistic devilry
i desire a life
so completely heavenly

satyr song

satyr dance to music wild
reveling as mischievous child
pan flutes whistle into breeze
raising high the fallen leaves
saturnalia was the song they sing
the golden age of revelling
jump high, dance, love and sing
for soon chill air comes whistling

creator of constellations

oracle eyes
of clearest vision
constellation creator
sacred tradition
cloaked in dusk
stars in eyes
from far above
where moonlight rise

whispered chants under night
banishing terrors with sacred light
a serenely silver golden gaze
see through all darkness
shadow and haze

cobwebbed coven

an adventure into the crumbling ruins of long forgotten tragedies

grave digger

when you yell at me for having dirty nails
i am no longer afraid to get angry back
as I have had to
dig myself out of the grave
you buried me in
and I wont be the one going back

ceramic heart

i don't have the physical strength
to equip a mighty sword
like you

but i can wield the jagged shards
of my ceramic heart
that you smashed
in pieces two

blood red wine

sipping a glass of blood red wine
in an old nearly forgotten mansion
as my car had broken down outside

my unfamiliar company was like a mirage
a tall dark and elegant man
who stood very large

closing the curtains
he turned as he sat
as he beckoned his servants
with a single clap
the meal was exquisite
the desserts were divine
he ate no food
yet he watched me eat mine

he gazed and he stared
as I stuff my face
of roast meats and rich desserts
on a table layed with lace
as the feast was ending
I found myself feeling ill
but it wasnt the food
i'm convinced it was the booze

kind host, I think I might retire soon
im afraid im going to snooze
I might head to the guest room

certainly, said the stranger
lifting up from his chair
you are my guest here
may i help you to the stairs

all is well gracious host
i believe ill be fine
however the wine you have served
is as thick like slime

oh my word, said the host
as he lifted his glass
it was chosen by my servant
that silly lass
he yelled at the girl
who was more pallid than fair
go down to the cellar
I shall deal with you there

growing suspicious and confused
I looked at the man
i have a few questions to ask, if i can

certainly, said the stranger
his skin sullen and grey
behind shadow I can barely see your face
and you havent told me your name

thats unnecessary sir
go to bed your health is paramount
for all you need to know is
they call me the count

old gods

do you hear the old gods calling
ancient memories long since gone
great forests torn and seedlings stomped
to this day they still do mourn

do you hear the old gods calling
lingering whispers in darkened night
shadowed beast of twisted antlers
hidden out of sight

do you hear the old gods calling
from dark soil of nurtured earth
beckoning me to their catacombs
so they may once again be birthed

i have heard the old gods calling
awakened from rotting graves
midnight chanting and blood red sacrifice
in coven within ancient caves

i have heard the old gods calling
i have heard the piercing scream
i have seen the forbidden deitys
the beast enshroud my dream

i have seen the old gods walking
spill forth from accursed tombs
greyed flesh no longer recognizable
as they birth from rotting wombs

tears of my kingdom

when you said
there was a great threat
to our kingdom

i sharpened my longest sword
i wore my shiniest armour
i sat upon the mightiest steed
i held a shield that could reflect dragonfire
and I begged you
and I did beg you

tell me what mountain must I climb?
what stormy seas must I sail?
what terrible lands must I traverse?
what monstrous beasts must I slay?

all for you
all for you to lay there
in that hospital bed
and tell me

the doctors say you
you won't survive
the rest of the year
